Hurricane Ian Updates

Bulloch Academy will be closed Thursday and Friday, September 29-30 for all students and staff.  All after school activities, sports practices, etc are also cancelled.
The decision to close was made after receiving the most recent National Weather Service update at 5 p.m.  The update showed a high probability of  sustained winds over 20 mph beginning at 4 a.m. and increasing throughout the day.  Gusts between 35-65 mph are expected throughout the next two days.
The safety of students, staff, and parents are of the utmost importance to us, especially the dangerous winds for carpool and driving to school.  We also do not want to place a strain on emergency services, as they will possibly be stretched with power outages.
Once the storm conditions pass, we will assess the campus.  We will plan to re-open with regular schedules on Monday, October 3 so long as the campus has power and there are no safety concerns that may result from storm damage.
