Welcome to Senior Central! Use this as your go-to destination for all the important info you will need as you make your way through your final year at BA!

Hey Class of 2026! Your Senior Guide is on the way! Get ready for all the info, dates, and big moments coming your way!

SAVE YOUR FILES BEFORE JULY 1!

Your school Google account will be deactivated July 1. After that date, you will lose access to all your emails and Drive files. To keep your files, you must move them to a personal Gmail account now.

THE EASIEST WAY (5 Minutes)

Chromebook Content Transfer App

If you want to make this super simple, come by my office! We can use a school-managed Chromebook to start the process:

  1. Log into a school Chromebook.
  2. Click the Launcher (bottom-left circle).
  3. Open the Content Transfer app.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to transfer your content. I’ll be here to walk you through it!

DOING IT YOURSELF

Google Takeout or Google Transfer

Watch the video for help.

If you prefer to do it from home, you have two main options:

  • Google Transfer:  Best for copying Drive and Gmail directly to a personal account.
  1. Go to myaccount.google.com
  2. Select Data & privacy --> Transfer your content.
  • Google Takeout:  Best for downloading a permanent archive (.zip file).

Step by step directions here.

  1. Go to takeout.google.com and sign in with your school account.
  2. Under "Delivery method," select "Send download link via email.
  3. Click "Create export.
  4. When you get the email, click "Download your files" and upload them into your personal Google Drive.

IMPORTANT TIPS:

  • Check Storage: Your personal Gmail only has 15GB of free space. Ensure you have enough room for your school files!
  • Don't Wait: Transfers can take up to a week to finish in the background. Start now so you don't lose your work.
