Our journey continues this year with COVID, but we have much more knowledge, understanding, and guidance on COVID from the Georgia DPH, CDC, and from our own experiences.  Our commitment to you is to continue with the maximum amount of fact-to-face education, as allowable during the pandemic.  We are hopeful that the disruptions will be minimal. The Bulloch Academy Response Plan will be revised for the 2021-2022 school year and shared with you by July 20. The plan will follow the GDPH guidelines at Key components of the plan include:

  • Masks are optional but may be required on a bus or in times of high transmission rates.

  • COVID vaccinations are not required, but if you would like to schedule one, please email Nightengale Services Inc.  at [email protected] or call 912-681-2612.

  • BA will follow the Georgia DPH guidelines for quarantines

  • Fully vaccinated students will not have to quarantine if they are a close contact, as long as they do not present symptoms.

  • Daily temperature checks and symptom screenings are recommended to be done at home before coming to school in the morning.

  • Virtual learning will only be available for COVID quarantined students or extended illness/injury, as approved by an administrator.  It will not be available for vacations.

  • Parents are welcome to walk their students into the classrooms in the morning through the main entrance at the Cornerstone Building.  Limited parking will be available in the Lower School parking lot.  Please DO NOT park in the Upper School parking spaces designated for students and faculty.  We ask that you drop your child off at the classroom door, and then exit out the end of the building.  For those that are walking their child in, we ask that you exit the building before the 8:00 a.m. tardy bell to allow for the educational day to begin. Arrangements have been made for several faculty and staff to be available to help students to their classrooms in the morning and highly encourage you to drop your child off in the carpool, as we work on growing the independence of each student.
